"I read because one life isn't enough, and in the pages of a book I can be anybody;
I read because the words that build the story become mine, to build my life;
I read not for happy endings but for new beginning; I'm just beginning myself, and I wouldn't mind a map;
I read because I have friends who don't, and young though they are, they're beginning to run out of material;
I read becuase every journey begins at the library, and it's time for me to start packing;
I read becuase one of these days I'm going to get out of this town, and I'm going to go everywhere and meet everyone, and I want to be ready."

My name is Mary Kloefkorn and I am thrilled to be the librarian at Discovery Intermediate School! I love talking to kids about books and helping them connect with the right books.
I graduated from WSU with a degree in Secondary English Education and then from ESU with a Master's in Library Science (my daughter's love to make fun of me for that one). I have three wonderful daughters and a dog that's not so wonderful.
In my spare time, I like to travel, read, watch movies, read, watch Downton Abbey, read, and go to musicals. My next dream vacation will be to go to New York and spend a week going to a different Broadway show everyday!
Stop by the library and we can talk about books.
