Counselor

I began teaching in the fall of 1995, after receiving my undergraduate degree from Bethany College. I taught high school math for 15 years and absolutely loved working with high school kids. During the time I was teaching, I decided to continue with my education. First, I received a masters in school administration from Baker University and second, as if 20 years of being a student wasn't enough, I then made the decision to go to Wichita State University and pursue a masters in school counseling. My first job as a counselor began in 2010 at Discovery Intermediate. I thoroughly enjoy working with 5th and 6th grade students, helping them learn and grow, during an integral part of their lives. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching sports, and camping.
