My name is Emily Carrillo and I am thrilled to be the librarian at Discovery Intermediate School! I love talking to kids about books and helping them connect with the right books.

I graduated from WSU with a degree in Elementary Education and then from Fort Hays State with a Master's in Library Science.  I have two wonderful kids who keep me on my toes and a dog that’s a little crazy. 

In my spare time, I like to travel, read, watch British shows and go to the theatre. 

My favorite genres of books are historical fiction, military, and suspense!
