DART, the Discovery Afternoon Running Team, practices begin next Tuesday, September 12. They are held at Discovery from 3-3:40 p.m. Students must have someone pick them up promptly after practice; no buses are available.
DART Permission Slips are available in Skyward Family Access under Online Forms. All students participating in DART must have a signed permission slip by September 11.

Here at Discovery, we are a family! A special thank you to two kiddo's who worked incredibly hard to make bracelets for our class family. They even attached an affirmation to each bracelet! We truly are #bettertogether!
Due to the bussing changes needed by our Transportation Department, we are receiving more calls each day changing students' transportation methods home. In order to make sure we accommodate parent requests and to keep our students safe, please use the following guidelines when making changes:
--Transportation changes must be called in by 2:30 p.m. at 316-794.4030.
--Any emails should be sent to dissecretaries@goddardusd.com by 2:30 p.m. If you do not receive a response to your email prior to 2:30 p.m., please call the office to ensure that it was received.
--Any person who is picking your student up from school grounds must be listed in Skyward Family Access.
--If it is not your student’s normal way home, please let the office know.

As a reminder, all schools and district offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4th in honor of Labor Day. We hope everyone has a safe time celebrating this holiday weekend!
Please stop by the Discovery gym tonight, August 30, 4-7 p.m. if your student is interested in joining Band or Orchestra. We will have vendors here with different instruments available.
If you can't make it, your student will still be able to sign up for Band and Orchestra this week.
Please be sure to stay with your child while they are looking at the instruments.
